You pay the same deductible wherever you go. Choose the best.
Under Oklahoma law, you have the right to choose the
collision repair facility of your choice. Don’t be ‘steered’.
‘Steering’ is a term used to describe insurance companies ‘steering’ their customers to a shop that is on their list. This is against the law in Oklahoma.
Even if your insurance company is based in another state, Oklahoma law protects against steering. If you own a car, you have the option to choose what shop you want to fix your vehicle.
Commonly, customers are told they must go to an “in network” shop for an estimate before they can take their car to the collision center that is “out of network.” Although this tactic seems harmless, the goal is to have you leave your vehicle once you receive the estimate with the “in network” facility.
Owasso Collision offers a lifetime warranty on the paint and workmanship of every repair regardless of the insurance company. We work with all insurance adjusters, so there is no need to acquire estimates elsewhere. We are the only stop you need to make from start to finish.
If you feel you have been a victim of steering, you can call the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office at (405) 521-3921, and file a complaint. If you have any questions, please call our office for assistance. We’re here for you.
